Born and raised in West Los Angeles Ladera Heights area. Pamela knew early on that she would pursue a career in art. Art was her first love. President of her high schools art club, she sold her first paintings in her teens. She continued her studies on the college level in painting, illustration, graphic design and technical illustration.

She began her professional career working in Anaheim, CA for a
large graphics firm doing signs and graphics for Rockwell International. Pam’s career would soon take a turn in the fine art direction when
she began an apprenticeship at Barbara Vantrease Beall Studio
in Torrance, CA.

Barbara started painting tile in her home in Palos Verdes, CA with international known artist/author Gemma. Barbara soon opened her first Tile Studio where Pamela worked on large ceramic tile mural projects for Barbara’s husbands architectural firm Edward Carson
Beall and Assoc. These projects included murals and signs for
Whalers Village on the island of Maui in Hawaii and Hillside Village
in Huntington Beach, CA. Pamela stayed on at the ceramic studio
for almost 10 years refining her skills and functioning as senior artist/designer the last 6 years.

In the 80’s Pamela moved to Redlands, CA where she established
her own hand painted tile studio. In her Redlands studio she created tiles for the Revitalize Fairfax District project and Southern Nevada Clean Communities, Logo tiles for many California Cities including Rosemead, Chino and Selma. Pamela designed and hand painted
a large mural for the Silver Legacy Casino in Reno, Nevada. Many of her projects were murals for homes in Riverside, Redlands, Newport Beach and Palos Verdes areas. Pam has created and hand painted ceramic tile murals for corporations as far away as The Netherlands.

Pamela has distinguished herself in the use of underglaze painting on bisque tile. This traditional Old World technique is seldom used today due to it's time consuming nature. It requires years of experience to anticipate the fired outcome of stains and underglazes applied on bisque tile and sealed under a protective coat of transparent glaze.
P & C Artworks continues this- tradition and offers underglaze
painting as well as several other techniques for custom murals
in its new Arizona location.
